Sorry for the late update.. Busy with work nowadays
Currently working at my aunt's spa now, and I so love my job.
I sit there all day, making calls to customers and repeating the same speech again and again.
I find it kinda fun actually, you get to talk to all kinds of people, and most of them are really polite (thankfully so)

Took this when I was really bored at home
Anyway, I really love Cornetto ice-cream.
It's smooth and creamy. So simple, yet enjoyable =D

Wednesday, 26th August

Lunch @ Tetsu with Cai
Tanglin mall #03-18

I 'stole' this pic from Google =P

Yakiniku (Beef tenderloin) $?
Tender, melt-in-the-mouth beef slices accompanied with sweet teriyaki sauce.
Sigh.. Utterly ambrosial.

Jubako Set ($32)
The set came with 4 appetisers, Kushi-age, Sushi, and a bowl of bland miso soup.

The Kani with century egg tofu (top right-hand corner) was fantastic!!!
I simply couldn't get enough of it.

Assorted kushi-age (Mushrooms, scallop, prawn, pork)
Very crispy, I liked this.

Teapot soup $10
You can imagine our bemused faces when this tiny little teapot arrived on our table.
It's even smaller than my palm!

Thankfully, it justifies its pricetag.
The soup was so fragrant, making it really addictive.
It's really quality over quantity for this lil baby.
There were also prawns, fish, and other ingredients in it, I can't recall what.

Cai then accompanied me to my dental clinic @ Paragon for my appt
Took off my braces that day! =)

Had our dinner @ Fish & Co (Paragon)

Being the novelty-seeker that I am, I'd ordered the Masala Dory Fish which is new on their menu.
The fish was delicious, I kept raving about how soft it was.

But the sauce was gross. In fact, it stank to high heaven.
Not a fan of masala, I guess.

Cai had some pasta salad dish, which he said was good as well.
Gotta try that next time.

Caught 'The Proposal' after dinner
I've been waiting for this movie since June!!
And it definitely lived up to expectations.

I love Sandra Bullock and her straight-faced humour.
And I think she's too cool!!!

Sunday, 30th Aug

Skinny Pizza
(3 Temasek Boulevard, #01-002 Suntec City Galleria)

Truffle fries ($6)
A must-order when you visit Skinny Pizza.
The occasional waft of truffle aroma simply delights the senses.

Roasted pumpkin with sun-dried tomatoes and shaved parmesan ($15)
It's a whopping 18-inch pizza!
Loved everything about the pizza except the arugula (the greens)
Don't see the need to elaborate more, this is a must-try!!!!

We're definitely having a second date with Skinny Pizza.
The wild mushrooms truffle pizza & squid ink pizza looked good as well ^^

Wanted to catch a movie after that, but the movie timings all buay gum.
So we decided to cab home to bring our dogs out to play.
When we were alr in cab, it started to rain..............

Changed plans and decided to head to Bukit Timah to eat instead.
Our stomachs are insatiable, really.

After surveying the stretch of restaurants along Cheong Chin Nam Rd, we finally settled on G7 Sinma, which is synonymous with frog leg porridge.

Thai Coconut ($3.50) to kick off the meal!
Boy, was it refreshing!
There's nothing more shiok than having smooth coconut flesh sliding gleefully down your throat.

5 frogs (kung bao) + porridge ($22)

Haven't had frog porridge for what seemed like eons.
For those who haven't tried it before, it actually tastes like chicken, only more delicious & tender!
Piping hot frogs in sweet kung bao sauce.. Can this get any better??

Of course it can. My evening just got better with uber delicious porridge, which seemed more like gruel.
It was very very sticky, just the way I like it. (cantonese style)
The thin ginger shreds added extra oomph to this, making it super addictive!
We finished the big pot in no time.

Headed to NTUC Finest @ Bukit Timah Plaza to shop for groceries
We bought so many things and it amounted to $100+
I love grocery shopping.. Let's do it more often! Wahaha
