Saturday, 10th Jan

Really, what a waste.
I spotted this sweet little number in a shop at Marina Sq
but I didn't get it as it was rather big for me at the waist area, giving it a baggy effect.
Pity, pity, pity.
Well, at least Jo bought her top there.

We bought a little present for XWZ then went to meet him & JJ for dinner

At Dian Xiao Er, JJ's treat. Thanks.

Roasted duck w/ ten wonders
Not as good as I'd expected it to be, but not bad either.
The skin was crispy, meat was tender, gravy was fragrant in a herb-like way.
Job done.

Assorted veg w/ seafood

Old style steamed fish slices,
which is really teochew style fish, my favourite kind!
Love the gravy. Fragrant and not overly sweet.
Marvelous.

with my babe

Wanted to catch Red Cliff 2 @ the cinema there but it was sold out.
XWZ dropped me off @ Bugis to get my Skinfood cleanser & then we headed to Cine.
As expected, the tix were sold out there too.
While waiting for the 3-hr parking thing, we played pool to kill time.

Slacking @ Marina Barrage after that.

I don't even want to start on how much I detest my phone cam

It is so windy over there, perfect place for chilling.

Around 12+ we headed to the nearby Lau Pa Sat to have supper.
The stall holders there are like, so desperate to get business. Irritating.
Had satay and cereal sotong.
I like the sotong.. so nice :D
The satay was okok, not juicy but not hard either.
& it was home sweet home after that :D

Sunday, 11th Jan

Went to Bkt Panjang with Cai, to have Bak Kut Teh! (recommended by him)
The soup was okay.
But no matter how much pepper I added to it, it still could not get any spicier. Weird.
What shocked me was the amount of fats on, between, and everywhere on the pork.
You can see the white, thick, gooey layers of fat clearly.
Eew? Srsly gross.

After eating we headed to Causeway to catch Ong Bak 2.
Random note: I'm never goin to recommend Prima Deli waffles to ppl ever again.
I always praise it to the skies, saying tt it's my favourite waffle.
But it disappointed me today!
Eww eww eww. Nothing can ruin my mood more than bad food.
Not even the AP Prima Deli auntie who served me grumpily.

We had Sakae too, as there was still time before the movie starts.
I never get sick of tamago sushi, tee hee.

K, movie review time.
Ong Bak 2 is not a sequel to the first part, just the same Tony Jaa.
There was a lot of action, killing, and *gulps* blood.
It was easy to sit through, but the ending was bad.
What happened to 'The evil never triumphs'?
Just not my cup of tea, I hate swords, knives, guns, and anything to do with blood.
Rating: 2.7/5

Then I headed to my Grandma's hse for dinner after that.
I simply love her cooking, something which I look forward to every Sunday.
