Happy New Year! :D

Tuesday, 30th Dec

Met Joanne at Bugis, stupid girl made me wait for an hr. Lol.
Acc-ed her to Haji Lane to buy her dress then we headed to Marina Square.

Joanne wanted to try Billy Bombers, it was my 1st time there too.
The menu is quite expensive and there's little variety of dishes.
I really prefer New york New york to BB.

So i ordered the cheapest main course on the menu. Salad w/ grilled chicken.
I thought the chicken would be like a whole piece, but it turned out to be in little diced pieces.
I may seem very 'sua ku', as it was my first time ordering a salad.
I'm on diet! Hahaha. (okay, I'm just joking.)
But I'm watching my health now, trying to cut down on fried food, which had taken it's toll on my complexion.
I like how crunchy the greens are.
Besides, it's high water content is gd for the complexion. Teehee.

Dipped in Thousand island sauce..Yum!

We walked around, then went to Anderson of Denmark to have waffles w/ ice cream!
Mint & Blueberry flavour :)

Bought these cute bedroom slippers @ Mini Toons.
Just when we were about to leave, we saw a shop called 'Marvelous Cream'
We wanted to try it long ago before it had officially opened.
The main product would be ice-cream with various toppings in a waffle basket/cone/cup, and it comes in 20+ different combinations.
It also offers english desserts like creme brulee, tiramisu, shortcake, and more.
But our stomachs were quite full alr, shall try it next time!

Wednesday, 31st Dec
Brought Ah cai the self-claimed food gourmet to try Golden Sands Seafood.
We ordered these few dishes:
Cereal Chicken.
I like to eat the crispy cereal alone in spoonfuls..Delicious!

Hotplate tofu.
It tasted different from the other time I tried it. Difference may be because I had the non-spicy version the other time.

Mixed vegetables with seafood.
See, I'm in love with greens now.
It's a good balance of nutrition. Sliced fish, pork, and prawns were thrown in as well.
Golden sands prawns, which are actually salted egg yolk with butter prawns.
The rich egg yolk taste is really unique. My favourite dish :D
Cai on the other hand, said tt he was disappointed.
Well, to each of his own.
He didn't eat much, so I was the one who 'cleared' most of the food.
I srsly srsly love zi char!

He accompanied me to watch 'Ip Man' to kill time while waiting for Jo to knock off @ 11.30
Now, this is another awesome kungfu movie.
And it's based on a true story of Ip Mun the master of Kungfu.
Fact: Bruce Lee is his disciple

Okay, back to topic.
Ip Mun is really worth watching, though the ending was sad.
My tear glands were helpless.
Rating: 4/5

Actually planned to go Kbox with Joanne & JJ after that.
But JJ said that Kbox costs $50 that day, which is so not worth it!
Didn't meet up in the end, as there was nothing much to do.

Then Cai & I cabbed home, but he went home to change into more formal wear.
Me? Rot at home.
That was how I spent my Christmas & New Year. Splendid.

The Face Shop mascara is so good. No fake lashes needed! (not that I use them anyway)
