Still remember the Coffee Bun which used to be a fad 1-2 years ago?

With the addition of Roti Papa, Roti Mama and the rest of the Roti family..
It's no wonder they closed down one by one..
Singaporeans are such copycats. Lol.

I finally found a Roti Mum stall at IMM. It tastes exactly the way I remembered it to be.
Delish!

Sunday, 29th April
Late lunch @ Ichiban Boshi with Cai

It was full-house when we arrived, but the waitress managed to squeeze 2 counter seats for us.
I was thinking, Great, there's greater accessibility to the sushi!
But to my disappointment.. The sushi did not look very appetizing
Instead of grabbing everything that came my way, I found myself looking blankly at the conveyor belt.
Idk why, it could be the ambience, or the bad service.

We grabbed a few sushis to try, only to realise that..
There was no cutlery on the table.
No chopsticks, plates, nothing!
The service staff were just doing their own things & did not bother to serve us at all.
Tsk tsk.

Hokkaido Maru, their premium sushi.
So it costs more, like $5.50
I like the tiny little details they add to their sushi.
There's flying-fish roe, corn mayo, crabmeat & cheese in this nigiri.
The cheese was the cheapo kind i.e. Chesdale, quite a turn-off for me.

Doesn't it look tempting?
I just love anything with tamago in it.
However, putting aside the lovely presentation, there's nothing spectacular about this dish (tastewise).

Conger eel tamago
This dish was on it's special menu and it looked so good so we decided to order it.

The conger eel was rather bland, it tasted like normal fish to me.
The tamago was rather bland and a little too soggy for my taste.

Some fried salmon maki wrapped in egg crepe.
It was a flop, really.
As you can see, the crepe wasn't wrapped properly, and it fell off when I picked it up with my chopsticks.
The fried salmon was over-fried. Not to mention also coarse and tasteless.

Sizzling hot wagyu steak

Everything about this dish was so wrong.
Starting from the sauce, it was a sweet & spicy.
Didn't go well with the beef, it masked the natural aroma of the meat.

The beef, was that even wagyu to begin with?
It tasted worse than the average beef you get in hawkers.
I'm not kidding.
What we had was a plate of boring & tasteless meat.
I seriously don't think this was worth $16.90.

Settled the bill as soon as we were done eating and decided to have ice-cream at Marvelous Cream.

It's such a pretty shop!

The many many toppings you can add to your ice-cream.

Can you spot the macarons? They're my absolute favourite!

We ordered 2 concoctions to share.
The chef making our ice-creams..

Ta-da!

The first one: Mango Tiramisu

What was in it: European cream cheese ice-cream, white choco flakes, sponge cake, whipped cream and mango cubes.
A little too sweet for my liking, but I liked the chewy mango cubes~

Rocky road.
Consists of Choco ice-cream, almonds, brownies and marshmellows.
The choco ice-cream was normal and the marshmellows was too hard. Boo!
But the overall taste was still acceptable, I preferred this to the mango one.
In fact I ate most of this :D
Verdict: Worth a try, if you don't mind spending $5.90 for a cup of this.

Headed to Bugis next, went to alter my jeans.
We were super unlucky, once we stepped out of the mrt it started to rain.. Heavily..
So we went to buy an umbrella but still ended up wet anyway.
Rain is such a mood-dampener. BOO!

Went to Sim Lim Square to look for an mp3, but couldn't find the one that I wanted.
So we went to Ji De Chi, again! :D

Steamed milk with almond paste.
I love the fragrant taste of almond~

Mango sago w/ pomelo.
Tried some of this, it's so-so only.
Liked the crunchy sago bits.

Cai had craving for hawker food, so we cabbed to Bukit Timah Market

A must-have at Timah market.. Chai Tow Kway!
The one from Seng Kee stall is the best.
Delicious and really addictive. I couldn't stop eating it! =P

Oyster omelette.
Tried to like this, but I didn't.
I don't like any thing that consists of shellfish. (scallops are an exception)

Satay!! My #1 favourite hawker food.
It was pretty good, they were very generous with the chicken pieces.
The sauce was very addictive, I finished it to the last drop. Hehe.

Gonna try the pasta at Timah market next time.
They're real cheap, like $3.90? OMG!
I can eat 3 times of that at Pastamania/Waraku/Shokudo!

I love hawker food!
The best thing of all?
You get to eat your fill of good food without having to break your bank.
