Saturday, 24th Jan

Noah's outing.. Finally man.
Jan didn't come along, though.
Heard that JP had expanded, assuming the position of the largest suburban mall.
So we went there to take a look.

And indeed, it had extended to twice its size!
I went to buy Tori-Q while the guys were eating..
& I got lost and almost couldn't find my way back.

Watched 'The Wedding Game' afterwards.
It's quite a nice show.. Far exceeding my expectations.
Nice plot, funny lines and above average acting.
Good thing it didn't have the Jack Neo flavour (singlish) in it.

I had a hard time deciding on what to have for dinner.
So they accompanied me to walk around until I finally decided on Kopitiam.
Hahaha.

There's a mirror in every JP toilet cubicle. How cool is that!
Sunday, 25th Jan

除夕 Day :D

Went to my grandmother's house in the noon to have steamboat!
Not w/o cam-whoring at home first xD

I love CNY!
but I love my CNY goodies even more.
Hei bi hiam, love letters, bak kwa, green pea cookies..
Can't get enough of them.
CNY is the BEST festival ever :DD
Happy Lunar New Year everyone!

Went to Golden Sands to have another round of reunion dinner with my Dad's mother & family
捞鱼生!

Steamed herbal chicken
Tender chicken meat in fragrant gravy.
I found pleasure in this.. :)
Fried Kai Lan
Pig trotters. I don't dare to eat this :<
Steamed red garoupa

Italian-style prawns

Thursday, 22nd Jan

Clique skipped POM lect & we all went to Pizza hut for lunch
Long time never go already!
Went to play swing after that.
Regretted wearing skirt man.
And something that cracked us all up..
Elwin is just as noob as Beng at playing swing! Or even noober =x

So funny looking at both of them tryin to swing
Still need XH & Azlan to push them hahaha!
NOOB LA!!!!

Introducing to you my clique in school..

XH, Azlan, Elwin, Jessie & Beng! :D

group photo :D

the leaf is kinda distracting.. but it looks quite artistic. lol

XH & Azlan teaching them how to swing

we're so nostalgic

They headed back to sch for lesson & I headed to town to meet Wifey.
I waited outside Cine for an hour because she released late from work.
Like a fool lor! :(

Went to have our dinner @ Kou fu as my stomach was grumbling away.
Gosh I hate the icky jelly we had for dessert. But I finished it cos Wifey bought it for me :D

Went to Taka to walk around & bought egg tarts from Fancy Delight
We had a hard time deciding which flavour to buy as there were simply too many to choose from
Here's their web: http://fancydelight.com.sg/products.html

Finally we decided on these 2.

Wifey bought double chocolate
& I got melting chocolate.
It's really nice, the egg custard is real soft and tasty, and there's melting chocolate inside.
I LOVE IT!
Plus points for it's unique design too. Whoever thought egg tarts could look this adorable?
Went to watch Red Cliff Part 2 after that.
I watched Part 1 with her too :D
It's not bad, but not as exciting as previous one.
Rating: 3/5

Walked around a little then headed home as the shops were all closed

Plus we were really tired already..

Today after sch we had no where to go, so decided to catch 'All's Well End's Well'
We thought that it'll be nice as the trailer made it seem quite hilarious
But we were disappointed in the end!
It was quite boring.
At least there was a happy ending, as the title suggests.

Old post: 16th Jan 09

Went to do facial with Joanne at 'The Sensory Suite'
Really like it, as the products they used were not only good, but smelled nice too!
We had our dinner @ Golden Shoe Carpark then we headed to Suntec.
By the time we reached there we were hungry again, had dessert @ Bakerzin.

the warm chocolate cake with homemade ice-cream on top
this is SO NICE!
there's warm valrhona chocolate fondue in the centre of the cake and it gushes out when bitten into.
complemented with the cold ice-cream, it's heavenly~

Walked around Suntec (it's a real boring place) while waiting for XWZ to book out
We did a good deed & brought a china tourist family to Esplanade.
Their son was around our age, i guess. And quite cute :P
XWZ came to fetch us to geylang to eat the famous beef kway teow.
At Lor 9 I think.

DAMN NICE! MUST try!!
The beef is extremely soft and tender, it literally melts in your mouth.
I ate a lot, a lot, of this. & still, I couldn't get enough of it.
Broccoli w/ mushrooms
Tis quite nice as well. the broccolis are very soft, just the way I like it.
Fried frog legs, my recommendation.
I'd eaten this elsewhere before and it was very nice, tastes just like chicken.
But this dish here is so-so only.

After supper, XWZ brought us to Little Bali to chill.

Wondering why there's day & night pictures?
The first picture was grabbed from the internet & the second was taken using my lousy phone cam =

Little Bali is a nice place to chill at, the atmosphere is good too.
No clear pictures, sorry.
It's located @ Alexandra Rd if you ppl wanna know =)

Saturday, 10th Jan

Really, what a waste.
I spotted this sweet little number in a shop at Marina Sq
but I didn't get it as it was rather big for me at the waist area, giving it a baggy effect.
Pity, pity, pity.
Well, at least Jo bought her top there.

We bought a little present for XWZ then went to meet him & JJ for dinner

At Dian Xiao Er, JJ's treat. Thanks.

Roasted duck w/ ten wonders
Not as good as I'd expected it to be, but not bad either.
The skin was crispy, meat was tender, gravy was fragrant in a herb-like way.
Job done.

Assorted veg w/ seafood

Old style steamed fish slices,
which is really teochew style fish, my favourite kind!
Love the gravy. Fragrant and not overly sweet.
Marvelous.

with my babe

Wanted to catch Red Cliff 2 @ the cinema there but it was sold out.
XWZ dropped me off @ Bugis to get my Skinfood cleanser & then we headed to Cine.
As expected, the tix were sold out there too.
While waiting for the 3-hr parking thing, we played pool to kill time.

Slacking @ Marina Barrage after that.

I don't even want to start on how much I detest my phone cam

It is so windy over there, perfect place for chilling.

Around 12+ we headed to the nearby Lau Pa Sat to have supper.
The stall holders there are like, so desperate to get business. Irritating.
Had satay and cereal sotong.
I like the sotong.. so nice :D
The satay was okok, not juicy but not hard either.
& it was home sweet home after that :D

Sunday, 11th Jan

Went to Bkt Panjang with Cai, to have Bak Kut Teh! (recommended by him)
The soup was okay.
But no matter how much pepper I added to it, it still could not get any spicier. Weird.
What shocked me was the amount of fats on, between, and everywhere on the pork.
You can see the white, thick, gooey layers of fat clearly.
Eew? Srsly gross.

After eating we headed to Causeway to catch Ong Bak 2.
Random note: I'm never goin to recommend Prima Deli waffles to ppl ever again.
I always praise it to the skies, saying tt it's my favourite waffle.
But it disappointed me today!
Eww eww eww. Nothing can ruin my mood more than bad food.
Not even the AP Prima Deli auntie who served me grumpily.

We had Sakae too, as there was still time before the movie starts.
I never get sick of tamago sushi, tee hee.

K, movie review time.
Ong Bak 2 is not a sequel to the first part, just the same Tony Jaa.
There was a lot of action, killing, and *gulps* blood.
It was easy to sit through, but the ending was bad.
What happened to 'The evil never triumphs'?
Just not my cup of tea, I hate swords, knives, guns, and anything to do with blood.
Rating: 2.7/5

Then I headed to my Grandma's hse for dinner after that.
I simply love her cooking, something which I look forward to every Sunday.

Friday, 2nd Jan

Mr Oops came to pick me @ around 8pm & we went for dinner @ Bkt Timah market.
Had craving for hawker food, and ordered my favourite satay, popiah, and black carrot cake.

After the filling meal, we went to Adam road to slack & have ice-cream.
After talking about some xin shi in the car, we headed to PS to fetch Joanne.
Went to this place @ Dempsey, it's called Oosh bar.

A very beautiful place to chill and relax with friends.

Han Ming ordered Blue Ocean. It tasted weird to me.
Mine, chamomile tea. I prefer tea over cocktails/alcohol anytime.
Joanne ordered wedges
& ice-cream.

Ah Xing came to look for us after that, then we headed to Boat Quay.
Opened a bottle @ 10Dimension as one of his friend was working there.
Didn't like it there, so we went to Dart, a new pub.
It's pretty chic, and it's very spacious.
Best of all, there were dart machines in there!
So fun :D:D

Played loads of card games and I only drank 1-2 cups of beer.
I srsly hate beer, i think it tastes disgusting.
We were all stuck at Dart as there were road blocks.
But that's okay, cause time passed very fast over there.
Finally went home @ 4plus, I was so tired that I fell asleep in the car alr.

That's all for that friday.. Bye!
