Happy belated birthday to Jess a.k.a Wifey!

Celebrated Wifey's belated birthday at this place.

Yes, those ppl were queueing up to get in.
That's how popular it is after being featured on "Buffet buffet"

We went for the Hi-tea slot.
See! Damn cheap can.
But.. it was full by the time we were at the head of the queue.
So, we left down our numbers and decided to shop around at Parco.

We waited for around 1hr+ and they didn't call back.
So we went bk to the cafe and decided if there were still no seats for us, we're gonna eat elsewhere.
When we went back, there was an empty table alr.
And they didn't notify us.
Bad. Very bad.
Minus points already.

Food.

rojak & chicky curry noodle. the rojak sucks. (only because i put too much prawn paste & it became so salty =P)
the mix-it-yourself rojak is quite fun.

i like the portraits of the peranakan families.

Reviews, reviews.

Variety of food:

Very little, for my appetite of cos, I wouldn't know about you.

There were only 6-7 types of nyonya kuehs. No ondeh-ondeh also.

How can?! What's a nyonya buffet w/o ondeh2 you tell me?

But for a $8 buffet, you really shouldn't expect much.
However, they should at least include ondeh-ondehs & kueh dadars right =<

Curry chicken, too bony and the amount of meat in it is pathetic.

Wifey says that their penang laksa is good.

For someone who doesn't even take chilli, I'm in no position to judge at all.

So I'll leave it to you ppl to decide whether to try it, or not.

Now, for the food I like.

Tiny ang ku kueh, sweet tapioca cake & cheng tng.

I had several helpings of these darlings! =D

Ambience:

Peaceful, gives you a kampong glam feeling..

Place was a little narrow, though.

Service:

Waiters were prompt in clearing of plates & refilling water.

Overall: 2.5/5

Nuff said. Quite disappointing.

Headed to Cine to watch 'Wild Child'.

Definitely worth the watch man.

It's about this spoilt brat named Poppy Moore, who was sent to this English boarding school which is something Mount, which I apparently forgot.

Initially, she hated the people in the sch, and finds means and ways to get expelled.

Ok STOP it Michelle. Quit being a spoiler already.

I highly recommend this show to girls.

Very heart-warming.

I give it a 7/10.

Sat, 29th Nov

Finally met up with Ah gong once again.

Dinner @ Whisk

My seafood aglio oglio.

rosie's half roast chicken! (sky's)

Place is not bad.

Love the wicker chairs, the lighting, and the cosy ambience.

Food-wise, i think it's rather ordinary.

No WOW factor that would make me rave about it.

But it's fine if you just want a simple meal to fill your stomachs.

Good price too, quite cheap I would say.

Wanted to catch a movie with his army mates, but there wasn't good seats for the movies we wanted to watch.

Played pool instead. No, actually I just watched them play.

Headed to Botak Jones to eat. Cheese fries.. again.

Did I mention before that it is srsly overrated?

I really really really don't think its price tag is worth.

Sky's friend gave us a lift to Bq, picked up Jo & her colleague Grace at PS.

Felt really bored so we called Han Ming & he came to fetch us to another pub called 'Lily's'
Played pool with Jo while waiting for our turn to sing.
Very suay. Just when it was our turn the pub was closing.

Headed to Jln Besar for supper. Dim sum! (introduced by our 小王子, HanMing)

NOW! This is really worth raving about.
We ordered loads and loads of dishes, even more than what you see in the pictures.
Many dishes of xiao long baos & har gaos especially.
Overall, I would give this a place a 3/5 for food & service. 2.5/5 for ambience.
